The Things I Am Shocked By - Democide - Death by Government

Did you know, that in the 20th Century, 6 time more people will killed by their own government than in all wars, foreign and internal?  A number estimated at 262,000,000.  Yes 262 Million.


If a nuclear war had happened in the 20th Century, 262,000,000 people is a rough estimate of the number of people who would have died.  So, democide in the 20th Century is equal to a nuclear war; it is as though a nuclear war did happen, just over the course of a century.

That appalls me.
